Why low pressure
High pressure forces water behind your siding.
High pressure on vinyl siding forces water behind the panels, where it stays wet and grows the hidden mold you can't reach. A blast-only wash looks clean for a few weeks and comes right back, because the colony behind the siding was never killed.
Soft wash uses low pressure and a detergent that kills the algae and mildew at the root rather than just bleaching the surface. The siding, trim, and the layers beneath stay intact, and the result holds for one to two years instead of a single season.
Every wash starts with pre-treatment around your landscaping and ends with a thorough rinse, so your flower beds, windows, and fixtures are protected and the chemistry never lingers where it shouldn't.

Black roof streaks
Gloeocapsa magma — algae, not dirt.
Those black streaks are a blue-green algae called Gloeocapsa magma. It feeds on the limestone filler inside modern asphalt shingles and spreads fast in our humid climate, worst on the north-facing slopes that stay damp longest.
High pressure strips the granules that protect your shingles and can void the manufacturer warranty. We use a low-pressure soft wash with chemistry tuned for asphalt and metal roofs, so the algae is killed at the root rather than blasted off the surface.

Brick & painted surfaces
Gentle on old mortar and fresh paint.
Old mortar is fragile, and high pressure blows out joints and forces water behind the wall. We soft wash with low pressure and the right chemistry to dissolve efflorescence — the white mineral deposits that seep out of brick — without damaging the structure underneath.
Painted and stained surfaces get the same gentle method. We clean without stripping the finish, so the color stays intact and the surface reads clean rather than bleached.
With proper treatment, brick stays clean for one to three years depending on the shade, drainage, and tree cover around the wall.

What soft washing is
Chemistry plus low pressure — not blasting.
Soft washing is a detergent doing the work and a low-pressure rinse removing it. The chemistry is given time to dwell and kill the organics at the root, and the rinse clears the dead growth off the surface.
It's the right method for anything high pressure would damage — siding, roofs, brick, stucco, and painted surfaces. Pressure just knocks the top off the growth; soft wash kills the colony so it doesn't come straight back.
